Antye Greie is an East German singer, digital songwriter, producer, performer, e-poet, calligrapher, and digital media artist. Main fields of practice are sound, composition, e-poetry, calligraphic art, music, voice manipulation, music production, performance, digital media, sonic installations, visual realization, internet communication, interactive and participatory arts. Specific research focus lies on relationship between language and sound including poetry in music, words in the context of electronic and electro-acoustic music, the phenomena of wordless singing, the perception of words in music and within different languages, the deconstruction of language and communication within music and abstract poetries that occur within sound.
She has been presenting live performances and sound installations in museums, auditoria, theatres, concert halls and clubs throughout Europe and in North America and Asia, at festivals such as Ars Electronica, Sonar, Transmediale, GRM, Roskilde, Sync, AudioVisiva and many more. Other projects include the German electronic duo Laub, The Lappetites, Agf/Delay (with Vladislav Delay), The Dolls (with Vladislav Delay and Craig Armstrong) and Zavoloka/AGF, with further collaborations with Ellen Allien, Gudrun Gut, Eliane Radigue or Kaffe Matthews. AGF runs her own production company AGF Producktion. At this year's Dis-patch, after playing livce sets in 2002 and 2003 editions, she will be playing a duo with Vladislav Delay (Agf/Delay) and presenting a lecture on the topic of sound poetry.
