Goran Simonoski and Relja Bobic have started their music radio on the airwaves of Belgrade's Radio B 92 in 1999. Belgradeyard Sound System was set up with the aim of presenting a wide scope of global non-mainstream music production of all styles. From this base, the field of activity for this small collective has been spreading over the years and has indluded regular club and concert events, the complete production of the Dis-patch Festival of cutting edge music and related art, as well as band and DJ performances in Serbia and abroad. The collective has been present on the European festival circuit for a number of years, playing in Berlin, London, Vienna, Rome, Trieste, Ljubljana, Maribor, Paris, Prague, Budapest, Leipzig, Graz, Linz, Athens, Amsterdam, Oslo, Trondheim, Stavanger Helsinki, Zagreb, New York, Washington DC and may other cities, including festivals such as Avanto, NuMusic, Wien Modern, Steiricher Herbst, No Jazz, Izzven Jazz, Ultrahang, Ring Ring, Sensoralia, Clubtransmediale and so on...
The sets of BGYSS DJ team are characterized by an open approach to dance music styles, with a special focus on the latest mutations of dancehall, grime, electro, avant-hip hop... In the last years members have also been performing solo inder the monikers Piece of Shh... and DJ Moodswinger. At Dis-patch they will open the night with another joint set, celebrating ten years of their activity, presenting their favorite DJs and and live acts from the UK, Germany and Serbia.
