LILLEVAN (IRELAND)

Lillevan Pobjoy has been invited as the Artist in Residence for this year's edition of the Dis-Patch Festival. The second residence since the inception of this program feature in 2008, will include collaborations with local artists, presentations and performances with guests, which was also the case with our first artist in residence - the acclaimed Vienna drummer Martin Brandlmayr (of Radian, Trapist, Autistic Daughters...).

Lillevan has already performed three times at previous editions of Dis-patch with his recently disbanded project Rechenzentrum, which always had an amazing connection with the Belgrade audience. The reason for this is their first visit to Belgrade in 2002 - at the same time the first live promotion of international act for the Belgradeyard collective, first live a/v show if its kind in Serbia as well as the moment when the thought of initiating a festival later that year came about. Furthermore, Lillevan has been one of the teachers for our Dis-patch School for new media manipulation in 2004, working with 15 local video artists and authors.

A peculiar situation is also the fact that Artist in focus and residence guests will be collaborating presenting two very different live collaborations: Kinovida, a new project of Lillevan and Vladislav Delay dealing with the heritage of cinema history, both visually and aurally, as well as their longstanding performance in which Lillevan provides live visuals for the Vladislav Delay concert.
