Secondo is the producer Radovan Scasascia (of Italian/Serbian origin), whose music style is best described as "funky micro cut-up disco". Born in Zurich in 1975, his minimal disco-like electronic dance music has been appearing sporadically on Soul Jazz Records since 2003, and on his own minimal electronic label - Dreck Records - since 2000. He also releases the works of artists such as Antonelli and Strategy, while like-minded electronic pioneers include Rekid, Kode 9, Subway or DJ/Rupture... His love of disco and minimal European electronic music produces a unique funky-electronic cut up style that shows his close links with the micro-house sound of Germany's Kompakt label, as well as that of the New York Disco labels of the late 70s and early 80s.
Secondo's music features thousands of micro-samples - minute sonic fragments - which he reconstructs into new compositions which somehow manage to maintain the atmosphere of the originals, but also create new worlds and new musical horizons. He is at home with both his own material and other people's work – Secondo's remixes have appeared for a diverse set of European and American electronic artists, from Felix da Housecat, via Richie Hawtin or Harrison Crump, to Kammerflimmer Kollektief and many more...
AM/PM is his more ambient-oriented project, which will be presented in Belgrade in a more cinematic atmosphere, with live visuals from Laurent Benner, a Swiss graphic designer and Art director living in London. He has collaborated extensively with Swedish design studio Reala. He is also a co-founder of Dreck Records, and looks after its design and video output. He has worked with White Cube, Tate Modern, Tate Classic and The British Council amongst others.
